What Makes CCC Different?

A Place to Learn & Belong
Charlotte Community Cooperative was founded in September 2024 in response to a clear need in our community for a community-led, values-focused homeschool co-op that puts children first. We set out to create a welcoming, supportive drop-off environment where every child is respected, encouraged, and valued for their authentic self. Our cooperative is built on the belief that students thrive when they feel safe, included, and genuinely seen.
Every class at Charlotte Community Cooperative—whether academic or elective—is intentionally designed to be engaging, interactive, and meaningful. We believe learning should spark curiosity, invite collaboration, and inspire creativity.
Situated on 7.5 acres in Port Charlotte, Florida, our campus offers a rich, hands-on learning environment that includes a community garden, food forest, and sensory garden, all of which students regularly access as part of their educational experience. We also have a large kitchen with commercial features that allows students to connect learning to real-world skills.
Above all, our goal is not only for students to learn, but to love learning. By fostering confidence, curiosity, and a joy for discovery, Charlotte Community Cooperative seeks to support the whole child and cultivate lifelong learners within a caring and connected community.
